Braintre birds 1

This is a project I did for Essex County Council in Braintree in which I made five local bird sculptures. The materials from the building site, which is now a recycling centre, went into the construction. They included reebar, car panels and pit-shoring steel plates. In fact the only non site sourced materials are the poles they are fixed on. They were carefully inspected by health and safety engineers and so couldn't be made of any old rubbish!
These are a tree creeper and a nuthatch.
